Writer Yosuke Kuroda and director Goro Taniguchi begin highlighting some of the minor characters: superfast Cougar; gentle Tachibana; Elian, who commands extrasensory powers; Urizane, who travels via a disappearing watermelon; and the sinister Kyoi Mujo.
