Al Gore's article targets Obama, media and deniers for climate inaction
Nobel Prize winner, RePower America Chairman and former Vice-President Al Gore, has a new article coming out in Rolling Stone on Friday that pulls no punches on President Obama’s failure to establish limits on green house gases.
The straight talking article is entitled, Climate of Denial: Can science and the truth withstand the merchants of poison? Gore uses the analogy of referees to describe the media and calls it a “free-for-all”, with one battle-ring containing fighters Science and Reason, while the other ring has the challengers of Poisonous Polluters and Right-wing Ideologues.Gore’s essay continues to say that in order to sell the cooked-up and false narrative of Global Warming as theory and not fact: The Polluters and Ideologues found it essential to undermine the public's respect for Science and Reason by attacking the integrity of the climate scientists. That is why the scientists are regularly accused of falsifying evidence and exaggerating its implications in a greedy effort to win more research grants, or secretly pursuing a hidden political agenda to expand the power of government. Such slanderous insults are deeply ironic: extremist ideologues — many financed or employed by carbon polluters — accusing scientists of being greedy extremist ideologues. President Obama, claims Gore, has done many things to move clean energy slightly forward, including reducing emissions by setting historic fuel-efficiency standards. Obama also told the Environmental Protection Agency to regulate pollution using the Clean Air Act and he went to Copenhagen to salvage at minimum a perfunctory agreement to avoid a total collapse of the International climate dialogue. However, Gore says Obama, powerful persuader that he is, hasn’t done enough to inform the American public on the magnitude of the climate crisis or defend scientific facts that Global Warming is real and the fact that immeasurable damage is caused by human activity dumping billions of tons of pollution into the atmosphere. Nor, has he established any substantive scientific platform to defend climate science against the incessant bombardment of radical right-wing attacks and blatant lies.

Several states, led by New York and Connecticut, pursued a tenuous theory in court, arguing that, since carbon emissions cause global warming, which in turn leads to natural disasters, misery and death, then courts ought to be able to fix it as a
"For Poland it would be a disaster." Although there is a consensus among the world's scientists that the warming of global temperatures observed in recent decades has been caused by human activity, some sceptics disagree, and are often funded by
Bye Bye Birdies: Another Global Warming Disaster | Earth End - New ...
An innumerable number of bird species in the United States today slide quickly into extinction and very little is done about it. Birds share common reasons for their decline with most of the other non-human animals on earth: Global Warming (also known as climate change); habitat loss––particularly loss of wetlands, grasslands (even residential grasses) and deforestation; invasive animals, such as pigs, sheep, deer, rats and parasitic cowbirds; invasive poisonous plants; encroaching energy development, such as wind energy; increasing numbers of diseases, including Avian Bird Flu and West Nile Virus; growth of industrialized agriculture; poisonous water, polluted atmosphere, and, of course, sports huntsmen.
However, unique to birds in this country is injury by collisions with spiraling-high architecture in urban settings, assaults by the ballooning numbers of feral cats; uses of explosives for demolitions or celebrations; and the deliberate killing of mass numbers of birds in order to protect agriculture––such deliberate bird destruction carried out, not only by private farmers, but by federal agencies as well. Nevertheless, the noticeable absence of birds in this country reflects their similar absences around the world.
Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar laments: “Just as they were when Rachel Carson published ‘Silent Spring’ nearly 50 years ago, birds today are a bellwether of the health of land, water and ecosystems.” More specifically, he explains: From shorebirds in New England to warblers in Michigan to songbirds in Hawaii, we are seeing disturbing downward population trends that should set off environmental alarm bells.”
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service puts over 80 bird species in the United States and its territories on their annual endangered species list. Commonly-known sub-species among owls, whooping cranes, bobwhites, ducks, condors, blackbirds, falcons, finches, sparrows, storks, cranes, terns, thrushes, warblers, woodpeckers, etc. seem to be quickly tumbling into extinction. Birdwatchers across the country add larks and herons to that list. The state of Hawaii is particularly hard hit in this tragedy. Over one-third of the birds on the Wildlife Service list are in Hawaii. And that island’s beautiful birds are in dire danger.
Shamefully, human hoggishness steals life from land, sea and air animals. God commanded man to allow birds to multiply: “And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, , , , and let fowl multiply in the earth (Genesis 1: 22). After the judgment, He commanded Noah to allow birds to multiply: “Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, . . . of fowl . . . that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply . . . .” However, Bible prophecies indicate that birds will justifiably exact their revenge in these end times.
