With Apple's iPhone 5 On The Horizon, Are You Waiting To Defect From Android?

It’s no secret that Apple will be releasing the iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S. If it’s not this year, it’ll be next. That much we all should be sure on. However, what’s a little more baffling is whether or not Android users will stay with Android or leave.  When the initial flood of Android users emerged, it was primarily on Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile. At the time, no iPhone was available on either carrier’s network, and Android was the smart choice. However, T-Mobile may be acquired by AT&T in less than a year, those two year contracts are ending, and the iPhone 5 is lurking on the horizon.

Just think about the possible inclusions on the iPhone 5 that’s being rumored and confirmed: 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE), Near Field Communication (NFC), larger screen size, new case design, better cameras, etc. I’m not saying that these aren’t already in devices today. I am saying that Apple has a way of reengineering features, and bringing out the best in them.

Personally, I waited on the Verizon iPhone until my LG Voyager told me to upgrade to something else – the HTC Droid Incredible. Take away the crappy battery life, and I couldn’t be happier. Android is getting better every day, and the development community is getting stronger. But will I stay? Will you stay? Does the mystique of the iPhone lay in your heart still? I really liked this case, it actually makes the phone look pretty cool. It is pretty convenient in that the clip snaps on or off the phone. What’s even cooler is that if you don’t want to use the clip (because your storing in your pocket or purse), you can take off the little clip plastic off.

I’ve dropped my phone once with this thing on, and the top part pretty much fell off but did protect the impact of the phone. The plastic covers are two separate covers; the one where the main screen is located at is the ones that falls off every once in a while, though it mostly stays on.

All of the phone inputs and outputs are reasonably accessible, as the plastic covers have openings for all of the orafices.

I love my LG Navigator but I have been looking for a good looking cover since I bought it. I wanted a cover for two main reasons. First, the touch screen is very nice and even though it had no marks after a couple of months of use (and being carried in my pocket) I really wanted to keep it free of scratches. Second, despite the fact the the screen has a small unlock icon, I have managed to make several accidental calls while carrying it in my pocket – one to my mother-in-law’s answering machine!!!

I did quite a bit of research and finally decided on the Body Glove along with the clear screen protector that was recommended. I have used the cover for several weeks now and I’m completely happy with it. The cover fits snuggly, is well made and has not fallen off despite being bumped and even dropped. The phone opens and closes completely and functions normally with the cover on.

I love this cover. It allows you to freely use all keys and to open it without it falling off or getting in the way. It does however make it a little more bulky. It doesn’t bother me, but if you are looking for something smaller you might want to try a different case. I also bought the screen protectors which work well with this case, since my daughter plays with my phone I wanted to make sure to keep it as safe as possible. So, far it has been amazing.
