Dr. Strangelove to perform at The Valley Fireworks Show

Doctor Strangelove is a party band from the Southern Tier of New York, playing covers ranging from Journey and Kid Rock to KC and the Sunshine Band and Stevie Wonder! They are a high energy band that thrives on having fun with their audience. They’ve played at several area venues and have also opened for larger bands at Tags! They always provide a fantastic show. Organizers are planning a full evening of fun with games and food concessions starting at 5 p.m. and Dr. Strangelove starting at 6 p.m. Then at 10 p.m. sharp, get ready for “THE GRANDDADDY OF THEM ALL” as Engine Company No. 1 presents the largest fireworks fun this area has ever seen in celebrating the 235th birthday of the red, white and blue.  To top it all off, organizers are promising a grand finale that will last a full five minutes with “deafening sound and eye popping fury” for all those in attendance. Though the fireworks can be viewed from various points across the Valley as the nighttime sky comes alive, the full effect is best viewed from within Riverfront Park where every seat will be a ringside view. The ground shakes and the air vibrates as the thunderous roar of the fireworks rolls overhead.
