Bushnell Holosight | Mosin Nagant Scope Mount

I have the bushmaster with the carry handle. I have already bought the rail. Which is the best holosight? whats the difference between the bushnell and eotech , and which eotech is the best? If im going to spend the $ i want to get a good one.

The difference between the two is battery life and ruggedness. The Eotech (any version) will be an improvement over the Bushnell, that’s why there’s a difference in price. As for the variation in Eotech’s themselves, it’s pretty simple. The base models do not work with NV goggles, the pricier versions do. I love my 512 (standard AA batteries, 1100 hour battery life, doesn’t work with night vision). You can move up to the models with BDC, or smaller batteries (CR123), or NV or all of the above if you need them. I don’t like the CR123 versions only because it’s not a standard battery you likely have dozens of laying around.

FYI: The Aimpoint Red Dots are amazing as well, but they are not holosights. That being said, I would not hesitate to use one. If you have the extra cash, the light weight and extreme battery life (50,000+ hours) of these sights might be worth it. Just remember, most Aipoints require a mount in addition to the cost of the optic.
